ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hugh Roberts has spent over 40 years in planning, design and development consultancy for new towns and urban, industrial and regional infrastructure. He has lived as well as worked in all 6 continents working for a wide range of clients and with project colleagues of every nationality, character and humour. He is a graduate of the Universities of Oxford and Wales and his first book An Urban Profile of the Middle East was first published in 1979, and re-published in 2016.

He lives in London with his wife Sylvie. They have two adult children Mark and Shân, and, to date, two grand daughters Lola and Manon.
